šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Hello There

This section of the newsletter is going to be the shortest it has ever been because my brain is tired and I cannot wait until the holiday break to reset and recharge. Recently did a cool wreath workshop with Whit McClure of Whit Hazen at the office(she did a guest column earlier this year too!). I only had about 40 minutes to pull this wreath together in between meetings. How do you think I did?

Obviously, I did great lol

This month overall has been chill although I’ve been in denial about two of my friends (hi PC and HT!) leaving the US to return to their home countries this month. I’m sure I’ll still see them next year since I love to travel and not be in LA (šŸ™ƒhaha).

Is it me or does it not feel like the holiday season? I know it’s December and Christmas is next week but it doesn’t feel like it at all (if that makes sense). Anyways going to wrap this up with two more things. I discovered another florist in LA and found new protein bars to obsess over after misfits stopped making my favorite ā€˜flavor’ (Cookies & Cream).

To find a new protein bar I like has been harder than I thought it would be but big fan of Papa Steve’s protein bars. I have also tried Banana Oat Dark Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Choco Chip - enjoyed those ā€˜flavors’ too.

See you in two weeks for the final issue of 2025!

The Broad - Robert Therrien: This is a Story is a fun and interactive exhibit. With oversized items it’s a fun way to not only see art but look at perception of everyday items. I think that this exhibit could be a great way to introduce art to younger children (on view until April 5, 2026)

The Stahl House - Case Study House #22 - The houses in hills are one of the most iconic things about LA and I recently had the opportunity to check out Stahl House and it was like stepping back into time. The house has been perserved beautifully and the tour guide was energetic and passionate about the history of this home.

Ai Weiwei's Turandot - You don’t have to go outside of your house to see art. It can be seen in a documentary too. I enjoyed this peak into what it took in order to bring Ai WeiWei’s version of this opera to the stage. After seeing this documentary I would have loved to see the opera in person but it was only on stage for about two weeks in 2022.

On my Radar:

Houston, TX - The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston - Louvre Couture at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (on view until March 15, 2026)
