VOUME 2 - ISSUE 17: August 26, 2024

šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Hello There

This issue is short and sweet like Sabrina Carpenter’s new album. I haven’t listened to the album fully but the songs I’ve heard have been enjoyable so far.

I’m taking it under consideration for my ā€˜vibe’ to also be like a video vixen in the early 2000s. Doing just enough but not too much. Continuing to be a silly person and also based on a conversation I had with someone on Saturday night. Could you imagine if people or aliens were watching you or each country as entertainment a la a reality show? Sometimes a thing or things happen and you’re like is this real life?

In sad news, one of my favorite vendors hasn’t been at my local farmers market when I’ve gone. Is this a first world problem? Yes, because I can make my own chips and guacamole but sometimes you want to just purchase freshly made items and not have to go through all the steps. I meant to mention it in July but I did a Vedic astrology reading. It was an interesting and cool experience.

Kind of funny too because home buying was mentioned and my mom recently told me to chill out on traveling and start saving more to purchase a house. Goals for 2025 because I have places to go and see to finish out the rest of 2024 (lol).

See you in September!

Movies

Alien: Romulus - It was a decent/good movie and definitely stuck to the formula for what you know these movies to be. Interested to see if there will be another Alien vs Predator movie now, since the most recent Predator movie came out in 2022. I like those movies best out of this whole franchise.

Trap - When a guy who played the ā€˜heartthrob’ roles during your teen years pivots to a different type of character, it’s interesting. It adds a layer to the storytelling and how you may potentially perceive said character. This movie was a thriller but cheesy (in a good way) at the same time. It wasn’t predictable and I was intrigued the entire time to see where the story would go and develop.

Staying In

TV

Presumed Innocent (AppleTV) - Love Ruth Negga, and Jake Gyllenhaal is cool too. This is a show about what happens when an arrogant and narcissistic man’s coworker is found dead. You see how this murder trickles down to effect not only his family, but friends, and colleagues too. Usually with shows I can predict how it goes but this kept me on my toes the entire time.
