VOLUME 3 - ISSUE 6: March 25, 2025

In partnership with

👋🏽 Hello There

I’m a day later than planned but tbh, I was too lazy to finish up the newsletter on Sunday. My flight was delayed three hours and by the time I came home, I just wanted to sit on my couch and watch a couple of hours of TV before I went to bed.

After six consecutive months of travel, LAX will not be seeing me. Which I’m excited about, although I am very grateful and blessed that I’m fortunate enough to travel the places I’ve gone to for both work and leisure travel. And now that I really think on it, I did speak all this into existence as I would always say I want to be the cool, bougie Auntie that flies in and out from cool places and here we are, me doing and being all those things.

I celebrated my birthday on an island although it wasn’t a ‘M’ location. I did plenty of ‘M’ related things though. I also changed a poopy diaper for the first time in two plus decades courtesy of a baby whose name starts with a ‘M’. I was trying to avoid it but I am not the neglectful type of Auntie either. In case you are worried, I did survive and am here to tell you that it was bad but it could of been worse so grateful for that I guess.

I’ve been experiencing early 2000s nostalgia recently. I’ve been thinking about the music but also the TV shows. Especially the wild ones that were on MTV like Parental Control, Room Raiders, Next or that reality show The Swan that probably did a number on plenty of people and how they see themselves. Also have been thinking about Datpiff.com which is where I discovered artists like The Weeknd before he blew up and was an ‘underground’ artist.

Somehow the month of March will end a week from today and we will be three months down out of twelve. See you in April!

IN THE ‘MEWD’ FOR..

SHOPPING

Changing area of GoodHood

I’m switching things up with this category. I’m going to do mini reviews on boutiques instead of giving you shopping links (as I visit them in LA and around the world). I’ll still send out links sporadically but not as often as I did last year.

GoodHood in London, UK

This is a store for both men and women that is on the more casual side of things with contemporary pricing. It was well curated with items and brands I don’t see too often in the big brand stores so that was a nice change. There was also an area towards the back with some home good items that were cool to see as well. This is great for that friend who is super chill and wants quality items but doesn’t mind paying a premium

Fashion Clinic - Women’s Store in Lisbon, PT

Luxe. This is curated with the high end fashion woman in mind. There is a section dedicated to the in house line and I thought those items were cool and unique. There is also a great sample of high end designers like Ferragamo, Tom Ford, Valentino and others you might not recognize. In the store, you can find women’s clothing, shoes and handbags. There was also a beautiful area dedicated to fragrances and candles that was a nice touch. I would say this is the perfect store for the fashion lover friend and those who don’t mind splurging on a high end item as a ‘staple’ piece. They also have a home good and Men’s store as well (didn’t check those out).

MUSIC

Songs

Hannah Williams and the Affirmations - In this video the soul in her voice sounds like she spent some time around a Black church IYKYK.

This Conversation is Missing Your Voice Song by Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke - I’m not sure what I like about this song but I do like it and find myself shrugging my shoulders to the beat especially at the beginning

Tomorrow Song by Moretti, Nile Rodgers, and The-Dream - This is perfect for a cruise down Sunset Blvd on a sunny day with the rooftop down/sunroof open or when you’re on roller skates and want to slow it down and groove

raat ki rani (Khruangbin Remix) - Arooj Aftab & Khruangbin - I feel like this is what you put on during the chill after hours party or a scene in a movie in the early 2000s i.e. Devil Wears Prada art gallery scene between Andie and journalist man Christian Thompson

Like jennie by Jennie - This song is catchy. Once I hear it during a TikTok video, I’m whispering the chorus for a good 5-10 minutes later lol

Ran Out by JT - Makes me feel like I need to book a flight to Miami for a fun weekend/girls trip filled with all the luxe and fun things you can do in the city. It’s early but if it dropped a few months later could of been the ‘City Girl’ theme for summer and tbh still possible

Come with Me feat Jorja Smith by Major League DJz - Like ‘Ran Out’ I can see myself somewhere else listening to this song. Except I would be in the South of France or Ibiza listening to this song with a French 75 or Hugo Spritz in hand

Should You Add These to Your Skincare Routine?

About three months ago, I discovered Pique’s Radiant Skin Duo and put it to the test. Within weeks, I saw results no topical product had ever delivered. My skin became clearer, brighter, and deeply hydrated—glowing from within!

The turning point? People started commenting on my skin. The only thing I had changed? Pique’s drinkable skincare!

The Radiant Skin Duo is an inside-out approach to radiance:

☀️ Sun Goddess Matcha – Rich in EGCG antioxidants, it helps firm, brighten, and clarify skin while supporting gut health. Plus, it’s quadruple-toxin screened for purity.
💧 BT Fountain – This beauty electrolyte hydrates at a cellular level, smooths fine lines, and enhances glow with clinically proven ceramides.

This simple ritual is effortless yet transformative. And for a limited time, get 20% off + a FREE Starter Kit here.
