VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 9: April 22, 2024

šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Hello There

How I’m feeling after last week. Someone damaged my car and like most of my travels, my car is foreign so I don’t need to say more when it comes to the cost of that. When I realized what happened I was feeling like Tupac in Hit ā€˜Em Up. I’m okay now but I was definitely so frustrated and angry at what happened.

Of course, it happened after I paid my taxes. The tax bill was semi-expected but still. It’s a temporary set back and although it still stings at the moment; I know that the money will come back to me tenfold. Thankfully as my mom reminded me, I’m in a position to afford these unexpected and emergency moments. Whether I’d like to be spending my money on them or not. Also, I have my health and I’m alive and nothing happened to me directly which is a blessing in a world that is in so much chaos. I’m grateful these issues are temporary and fixable with a bit of time.

In more fun news, it’s ube season at Trader Joe’s so I grabbed some ube pretzels and the mochi pancake mix recently. I haven’t had the pretzels before and they’re nice but I probably won’t get them again. I’m a big fan of the mochi pancake mix though.

I’ve been a bit busy so this issue is quite concise but as always with some great selections. Next month, a few cool things will be happening and ideally I’ll be able to talk about them in the next issue.

CHARITABLE GIVING

Charity work has been important to me since I was in high school. To the surprise of no one, I created the first ever talent show at my high school and all the proceeds went to charity. As an adult, I try to donate at least twice a year. I think it’s important to always give back whether it’s $5, $2,000 or with your time. Here are some charitable causes/charities that I wanted to highlight.
