VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 18: September 9, 2024

šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Hello There

Well, I did it. I mean…if you know me this isn’t a surprise but I begrudgingly signed up for the yearly membership at Erewhon (jk I was enthused or at least whelmed lol). So far, no complaints just means I’ll be hitting up the hot bar more often amongst many other things.

It’s that time of the year where many people start thinking about bundling up, wearing boots and etc. Meanwhile in LA, we are going through a heatwave and today is the last day of 100+ temperatures, thankfully. It will still be summer here until like Nov. but just A LOT cooler unless there is another heat wave.

Things currently on my mind…

  • Why is J.Crew selling a $1.2K jacket?! I was so excited to purchase when I saw it on social media then after going on the site it flipped to, whelp never mind then.

  • Am I the only one that has been constantly humming and singing the new Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars song?

  • Have you started watching Selling Sunset (Netflix) or The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (Hulu)? I will be starting both this week, and will be excited for the mindless entertainment

While it’s nowhere near Christmas time, the Liberty London’s beauty advent calendar is available. It’s not cheap ($345 - $25 more expensive than last year) but the products you get are very high quality and $$$$ on their own. I purchased it last year and thought it was well worth the price.

See you in two weeks!

Staying In

Movies

Rebel Ridge (Netflix) - Not a bad movie nor a good movie. The ending wasn’t what I expected and was a bit open ended/vague IMO. I think it’s something you can passively watch and still be able to understand what is going on. Overall, I liked the idea/premise of the movie but not sure if it was executed to its full potential.

TV

Reborn Rich (Viki) - I love a show about revenge, or scheming when done right. This is a show about a loyal employee seeking revenge on a conglomerate family. There were a couple of twists I didn’t expect and overall thought this was a well done show. I loved that almost every episode was used to its fullest potential and there were no filler episodes that wasted your time. — FYI series in Korean

I’m still powering through my rewatch of Prison Break and Designated Survivor. House of the Dragon, I’ll wait until season three to finish as it’s not keeping me interested or wanting to watch more.
