👋🏽 Hello There

I’ve learned my new favorite phrase in Japanese thanks to Meg Thee Stallion — お金 稼ぐ 私は スタ. I’ve had it stuck in my head all weekend 😂.

June was a busy month for me as I did absolutely the most in all the best ways. Between birthday celebrations (hi PC!) and friends visiting LA (hi JD!) amongst many others things, my social battery was basically depleted by like last Tuesday. So of course, you know I stayed in this weekend to recharge/refresh although I was very tempted to accept this invite to go to Vegas for 24-36 hours this past weekend.

If you’re in the market to purchase a new bag and can splurge. I think you should look into a vintage Celine nano luggage bag as I have a feeling it could soon become the new ~IT~ bag. The first Presidential debate was last week so there’s that but make sure you are registered to vote! You can check your status here, only takes 30 seconds.

Keeping it short and sweet this issue because I’m feeling like this child below at the moment after all these social activities in June. Byee!

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Netflix) - This is the most iconic cheer team in the NFL for a variety of reasons. I watched another version of this show when it was on CMT. I enjoyed that there was a slightly deeper dive on the women during tryouts and while on the team along with the difficulties that they face personally and professionally.

Movies

Rose Island (Netflix) - What happens when you tell an engineer they can’t do something? Well you have this movie based on the true story of Giorgio Rosa and the tiny nation he founded in 1968 off the Rimini coast. I found the movie intriguing and didn’t spoil myself by googling the island to see how the movie ends — FYI movie is in Italian

BARS/NIGHTLIFE - Lost & Found, The Park at 14th, barmini by José Andres, Off the Record, Madams Organ but Adams Morgan area overall (lots of bars in this area then you end the night with jumbo slice pizza!)

Based on my experience plus additional options that are on my radar. Places change so quickly these days so take these recommendations as a starting point and do your own research!
