VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 15: July 15, 2024

šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Hello There

FDSFDSFDSe. Usually I have that to the left as a placeholder in the template for these issues but after the assassination attempt, sheesh. Why do I feel like it’s only going to get even crazier from here? I hope I’m wrong though.

On a lighter note, currently watching the The Acolyte on Disney+ due to some fan made videos on TikTok, IYKYK hahaha. The Star Wars social team has been doing a good job in response to them. The plot/show is good so far and once it ends will give my quick review. There’s something about villains in TV shows that puts a smile on my face sometimes i.e. Rio from Good Girls.

You already know, I’m a fan of CHIHIRO and now this unofficial remix exists that is an ear worm as well. I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement of the freshly ground honey roasted peanut butter from Whole Foods in LA. I have one on the east coast thanks to my Mom but I shouldn’t rely on her shipping me multiple containers of it šŸ˜…. I haven’t checked Erewhon because paying $35 for peanut butter is something I can’t do although I’ve spent money on dumber things. There is the Justin’s version but it doesn’t do the job either and when I tried the Trader Joe’s version I was like this

Getting ready to head to Europe soon and very proud of myself for shopping in my closet (as of right now) instead of finding new things to purchase. One last thing, have you seen the Mongolian uniform for the 2024 Summer Olympics? I believe we have the start of a new trend when it comes to Olympic uniforms which I am very excited about.

See you again on the third to last day of this month, since there are five Mondays instead of five Fridays in July!

Movies

Inside Out 2 - UGH, I love children/family movies. I’m not alone in this because like 95% of the audience were adults in the movie showing I went to. This movie was so cute and fun. If you need to decompress, reminisce about those awkward teen years and laugh this is the movie for you.

Quiet Place: Day One - I did tear up at moments due to Lupita’s character Samira hitting close to home for me. Overall, I think this movie has it’s jump scare moments but more so about the ability of people to come together to find joy in the most challenging moments.

Staying In

TV

Owning Manhattan (Netflix) - This gave me Million Dollar Listing vibes as Ryan Serhant is an alum of that NY series. I appreciated the focus more on the real estate in Brooklyn and Manhattan vs the drama. Don’t worry there is office drama too but not too much where it overtakes the real estate aspect of the show. It also showcased how much Ryan has matured as he is now the CEO/Founder of his own firm.

Song for Volume II - Issue 15: Usher - Nice & Slow
